Room516 Q&A: John Roman
Toronto is going through an unprecedented musical high. Not only is the city consistently bringing in the biggest names in electronic music, it’s also become an epicentre for young and talented artists. At the front of the pack is producer John Roman. We were first introduced to him about a year ago through his widely supported Petrified EP on Turbo Recordings. Fast forward to the present and a few massive EPs, remixes for the likes of Proxy, Crookers and Harvard Bass, and a pair of fantastic mixtapes later, it becomes clear that he’s already amassed some serious work to his name. We, like many others, see ourselves continuously drawn to his raw and heavy techno sound so it’s only fitting that we eventually caught up with the revered producer.
